dream allows her to overcome the anger she's felt for her parents and their hostile relationship, encounter fear in a strange place where she's forced to fend for herself, and battle frustration when she falls in love in Rome. Ultimately,
she has achieved true happiness. Then she finds out her mother has passed away, and she didn't get to say goodbye.
